The Citadel consists of two two-story rooms with an intervening covered passage. The passage opens onto a small courtyard once enclosed by a wall. The site is a classic and spectacular example of a Navajo pueblito perched atop a large boulder. Interior features are present. It is located on New Mexico State Trust Land. Though many come close, no other cross-country route takes in the variety and extremity of landscape than US HWY 2 does.
